Somatic Attachment Therapy is a body-centered, attachment based approach to healing that is both kind and compassionate as well as intensive. This approach includes focus and practice on the soma, our "felt sense" that supports a greater sense of aliveness, healing, and general feeling of wholeness. Sessions are paced individually, according to the needs and preferences of each unique person participating.
Clients are supported and guided to look inward, develop a deeper sense of their embodied experiences, and how they can use this awareness to encounter, include, and heal wounds. This approach is founded on the belief and principle of the body's inherent capacity to heal by including with compassion what is present. It is through this compassionate inclusion that the conditions for change are enabled and activated, creating a natural environment for change and flow to be restored.
